2011 Tryptophan Recovery Plan

We've got some exciting stuff planned for this year's Tryptophan Recovery Plan! To start, we are working on a plan to get your juices flowing early by have a karting event Saturday afternoon (Nov 26th) making this event potentially a three day extravaganza to really work off all those good eats from Thursday.  Sunday we'll be on Patriot Course, again for an afternoon of fun on this challenging 1.1 mile circuit. Monday we'll move up to the 3.27 mile Full Course which everyone knows and loves for a full day of driving excitement.
 

Asphalt Ventures/rEvolution Performance Newbie Clinic - VIR Karting, Patriot Course & Full Course

Beginners & Novice attendees (less than 2 events) will start Saturday afternoon with the 9hp karts at VIR's 5/8ths mile kart track. You'll get a solid feel for vehicle dynamics on VIR's unique kart track with major elevation changes. Chuck Hawks will be doing track-side coaching with drivers not on track. Sunday morning you'll be treated to breakfast with Chuck Hawks and Ronn Hale, courtesy of CIN Motorsports (Charlotte, NC), after which you'll move on to instructed lapping on VIR's Patriot Course... a 1.1 mile circuit inside the famous 3.27 mile Full Course. With more turns and elevation changes in that one mile than many tracks twice its length, it's sure to challenge and exhilarate.  After lots of rest Sunday evening, you'll continue Monday by moving on to VIR's Full Course... the gem of the mid-atlantic and one of the most historic circuits in the country.  You'll still have an in-car instructor for Monday as well, so no worries about being thrown in the deep end on your own. By the end of these three days, you'll be worn out and wondering why you didn't do this sooner!!

Intermediate, Advanced/Solo, and Instructors, you've got track time on Sunday the 27th as well... we'll schedule track time for you while the newbies are in class and you'll be navigating all the twists and dips and sweeps that the Patriot Course has to offer. Between sessions, you'll have time to relax with friends since there will be no classroom sessions for you on Sunday.

The All-Hands safety meeting doesn't start until 11:00... (Registration will start no later than 9:00am, and we'll still be at the track Saturday night for anyone showing up early and sleeping in at the track.)  Quiet hour/lunch on Sundays at VIR is from 11:00-12:00,  so be sure to grab a bite on your way to the track since our driver's meeting will be during the lunch hour. At noon, the FUN BEGINS!!

Monday morning we'll wake up bright and early and ready to go on VIR's 3.27 mile Full Course that we all know and love. With loads of track time for everyone, Chuck Hawks and Ronn Hale leading the classroom sessions, and an extra day of Thanksgiving vacation, this is always a popular event, so get registered now!!
