Event Details: Join MSR Houston Charities and Mentis Neuro Rehabilitation for the annual Race 4 Charity on December 15, 2012 at MSR Houston. Beneficiaries: We believe in good community partnerships and to that end, our charity races directly support the local community charities in Brazoria and Harris counties that don’t receive national funding. This event will be raising awareness and funds for the Rehabilitation Services Volunteer Project and the Brazoria Country Toys for Tots.
Rehabilitation Services Volunteer Project: RSVP is a nonprofit organization that provides physical rehabilitation services to uninsured individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and amputations. Services provided include medical care, nursing care, pharmacist management, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, music therapy, therapeutic recreation, neuropsychological evaluation, and social work.
Brazoria County Toys for Tots: The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charity, is the authorized fundraising and support organization for the Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation provides the funding and support needed for successful annual toy collection and distribution campaigns though local chapters across the country. In Brazoria County, Marine Corps League Detachment 982 handles the collection and distribution.
Cost: All entry fees are $150 plus a new, unwrapped toy. Your entry will also include a meal ticket to be redeemed at the Food Truck Village.
Race Groups: The event is open to drivers of street cars and racecars alike.
