Our photographers will also be stationed around the track snapping away all day for exciting images of your car.

Event requirements

To participate in the track day event, your car must have a safety inspection performed prior to arrival. You will receive a link to the inspection form via email after you've completed registration.

Track Day participants will be required to provide a suitable helmet. All helmets must be Snell rated. For beginners and convertible group drivers (in cars without roll bars), we will accept SA and M helmets no older than 2000 specification in good condition. For all other run groups, an SA-rated helmet Snell 2000 or newer is required. Open face or closed face helmets are allowed. If you cannot procure a helmet for this event, we may be able to provide one for you... requests must be made at least 30 days in advance of the event (which means you need to sign up for the event at least 30 days in advance... which coincidentally, is the cut-off date for cancelations.)

Instructors... I've engineered the scheduled to include a full 5 minutes break between EVERY track session, so even if you have two students, it should be relatively easy getting to/from each assignment.

We've chosen NCCAR to host this event due to it's wide asphalt, wide run-off, and relative lack of Armco barriers. It is a very safe track, designed for automotive research & development (not racing). That said, you will still be required to sign a liability release waiver protecting yourself, your fellow participants, and the track and event staff against lawsuit in the event of any unforeseen calamities. This form is found in digital form here during online registration as well as paper form upon arrival at the event.

You'll have the following options to choose from for your event entry:

!! SOLD OUT !! Convertible Group - Three track sessions
Limited to 10 cars, this group is for convertible cars without aftermarket roll-over protection. Even if your car has factor roll-over protection, this is still your only option. This group will run under strict passing rules, and will be a speed-limited group. This group will give you a real track experience, but will be designed to help mitigate many of the unforeseen issues that might arrise when pushing a car to its upper limits. You will have an in-car instructor and classroom instruction designed to introduce you to the amazing world of road course driving. Passing will be limited to the main straight.

Beginner Group - Five track sessions
Limited to 20 cars, this group is for drivers with 0-4 track events (0-8 "days"). Cars must meet all safety requirements (including competition style roll bars for convertibles).  You will have an in-car instructor and classroom instruction providing you the info and knowledge to be safe while on track with other cars, and to introduce you to the rules, protocols, and best practices for road course high performance driving. Passing will be limited to straight sections of the track.

Intermediate/Advanced Instructed & New Solo - Five track sessions
Limited to 30 cars, this group is for drivers who have progressed through various DE programs (5+ events) and have a solid understanding of on-track passing rules and crisis management. Your in-car and classroom instruction will be designed to expand your high performance driving envelope, tailored to your experience and vehicle. Newly approved solo qualified drivers should choose this group. Passing will be on any straight section of track.

Instructors/Experienced Solo - Five track sessions
This group is limited only by the experience level required. Instructors and solo qualified drivers will share this run group, so all drivers in this group must be comfortable (and courteous) in traffic. Passing will be "open - with a point".

Instructors please note: If you are not already an approved instructor for Asphalt Ventures, you will not see any instructor entry options on the registration form. If this is the case, please send me an email with a synopsis of your event history. Make sure to use the same email that is associated with your MotorsportReg.com account (REMEMBER... you should NOT have multiple MotorsportReg.com accounts for multiple clubs!!!)
